Ranomafana National Park

Research Project:
Kin recognition, olfactory communication, and genetic variability in the Milne-Edwards' sifaka (Propithecus edwardsi)

Research Focus:
I am exploring the use of scent to recognize kin in lemurs, particularly focusing on the effect of variation at the Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC); determining the effect of barriers such as roads and rivers on contiguity of populations; and determining whether kin selection occurs in the Milne-Edwards' sifaka.
