Identification

A small Ground-Roller with a rufous head and belly, bronze green upperparts, black breast-collar flecked with white.

Ecology

Very little seems to be known definitely about this bird. It is probably found in dense rainforest, probably eats insects, probably mates in December / January. It is said to disappear between May and August. It is said to nest in holes in the ground. (UICN 1990)
