This small chameleon is found at night, few meters above the ground. It is common at Vatoharanana and Vohiparara.

Total length 5-6cm. (Glaw-1994), Average weight 1.2g(), 1.6g(), dark brown color with brown stripes on sides, back rounded, body thin (to mimic a leaf), elongated snout. Non-prehensile tail. (UEA, 1995)

UEA found a slight bias toward males in the population (58% male), 21% juveniles, 79% adults. Generally found to roost 15-50cm above ground.
